Artist Bio

Jeff Harnar is an Award-Winning New York Cabaret and Recording Artist.

Jeff's five Manhattan Cabaret Awards include two Manhattan Association of Cabaret Award (MAC) as Best Male Vocalist and three Back Stage Bistro Awards(Newcomer, Male Vocalist, Best Show).

Jeff has made six appearances at Carnegie Hall including both the Cole Porter and Noel Coward Centennial Galas and most recently as Michael Feinstein's special guest in a Jule Styne Tribute. He has also performed his one man show at Carnegie's Weill Recital Hall.

Jeff's most recent recording, "Dancing in the Dark" (PS Classics) is a collection of 14 standards and surprises from the Great American Songbook, featuring Cole Porter, Gershwin, Berlin, Rodgers & Hammerstein, among may others.

Jeff is known for his unique "theme" shows that have debuted in Manhattan venues such as the Oak Room at the historic Algonquin Hotel, Rainbow & Stars, The Cafe Carlyle, The Russian Tea Room and The Firebird Cafe.

"The 1959 Broadway Songbook", one of these acclaimed shows was recorded live at the Algonquin (Original Cast Records) and broadcast on PBS. Jeff has toured this show extensively throughout the United States.

"Because of You: Fifties Gold", Jeff's second solo recording is a collection of pop classics from the songbooks of Tony Bennett, Nat "King" Cole, Doris Day, Johnny Mathis and Johnny Ray.

"Sammy Cahn All The Way," Jeff's acclaimed tribute to the Academy and Emmy Award winning lyricist Sammy Cahn, enjoyed a sold-out engagement at The Laurie Beechman Theater on W. 42nd Street and became Jeff's third solo recording.

On the road, Jeff has opened for the McGuire Sisters and toured nationally as the singing narrator of "Gershwin on Ice" starring Dorothy Hamill. That show was aired as a special presentation of the A&E Network. He has also performed on luxury ocean liners such as the QM2, Crystal and Holland America, among others.

Additional Television credits include CBS This Morning, The Charles Grodin Show and "remember: Songs of the Holidays," for PBS, co-starring KT Sullivan.

Jeff can also be seen performing with Broadway star Shauna Hicks in "The
Mickey & Judy Show," a tribute to the Hollywood songbook of Mickey Rooney and Judy Garland, most recently at London's Pizza On the Park and with both the San Diego and Spokane Symphony Orhcestras. A recording of "The Mickey & Judy Show" is currently available through Original Cast Records.
